Pink underdress and belt

A colored underdress was a popular revival for a white transparent dress. Therefore under the muslin dress made according to the extant dress, France, c. 1802 (the Kyoto Costume Institute) the pink silk underdress with linen lining of the bodice was made. The underdress was inspired by the underdress, 1805-1810 (the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York). The whole outfit is completed with the belt of pink and black silk, made according to the fashion plate from Costume Parisien, 1804, fastened by a brass buckle trimmed with a strass.
