Coif with Elizabethan embroidery

Ladies' linen coif embroidered with Elizabethan embroidery, lined with small sewn lace. Coifs of this type were especially popular during the 16th and early 17th centuries. Fine embroidery with floral motifs is freely inspired by the coifs deposited in Victoria and Albert Museum or the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
Material: linen cloth, lurex gold and silver threads, silk stained threads
