Outfit according to the Gallery of Fashion

A regency day outfit consists of a linen shirt, short stays, a cotton bodiced petticoat with a front closing and a muslin round gown embroidered with silk and metal spangles, which is inspired with an embroidered round gown, Italy c. 1795 (the Kyoto Costume Institute). The outfit is completed with leather gloves, a silk covered hat trimmed with a silk ribbon and ostrich feathers and a silk shawl – coat trimmed with an embroidered cotton tulle, inspired with an extant shawl, 1790 – 1810 (Mode Museum, Antwerpen). The whole outfit is handsewn according to the fashion plate, the Gallery of Fashion, November 1795.
