Regency apron front dress

A regency apron front dress trimmed with an embroidered cotton tulle and an embroidered shawl were made according to the fashion plate from "Costume Parisien" ("Journal des dames et des modes"), an 9 (1800) as a project for Mme Chantberry Fashion Plays 2016. There are the cotton shift with a short sleeves, short early regency stays and a cotton bodiced petticoat under the dress. All is handsewn. The hairstyle is completed with a decorative haircomb and a silk crotchet net trimmed with glass beads. For an evening wear a silk sleeveless spencer embroidered with chanille and spangles could be worn with a dress.
