Garde corps

Dark blue woolen garde-corps inspired by illuminations in Codex Manesse (1300-1320). In the period between the second half of 13th and early 15th centuries it was in the western Europe a wide spread sort of overcoat, worn by both men and women. It used to have typical, long and wider, nearly rectangular sleeves with slits on their front side, looser cut and often a hood. The gown is made form 100% cut wool, nearly all hand-made.

On the previous page is a view of the front side.
