Venetian dress

   The costume is based on portraits of Venetian ladies by Paris Bordone, Paolo Veronese and Bernardino Licinio (ca 1540 - 1560). The dress is made of a brocade, the bodice is stiffened, boned (with pedig bones) and lined with silk dupioni. The black linen underdress has stiffened and boned bodice, hoop skirt and white silk details (visible around neckline and under the front lacing of brocade dress. The costume is worn with short girdle made of gold-colored beads and pearls.
