Early renaissance jewelry set

This jewelry set (pendant and set of buttons) was made as a part of a Jane Seymour dress reconstruction. This jewelry is made of brass. The pendant is fitted with a synthetic ruby, padparadscha with a specific gradual cut and pearls. Buttons are fitted with orange glass and almandines. Genuine jewelry was made of precious metal (gold) and fitted with precious stones. The function of this jewelry is purely decorative and it is a presentation of the social status of the wearer.
